Youhei Mashiba (真柴 陽平 Mashiba Yōhei) is the older twin brother of Mitsuki Mashiba and a member of Kyouko Shirafuji's old gang whose first appearance is Season 2 Episode 6 "Hired, Fired, Tired" where he fills in for Popura Taneshima and Jun Satou.
He occasionally gets called in to help at the restaurant when staff are low. Yōhei is unemployed, a status which he does not change in order to ensure he is always available should Kyōko need his help. When he remarks that Kozue Takanashi is pretty (shortly after she is dumped by her latest boyfriend), she develops a persistent interest in him because he rejects her on the grounds of not being able to provide for her given his unemployment rather than because he dislikes her.
Appearance[]
Youhei has gray hair that is tied in a ponytail, sienna brown eyes and a snaggle-tooth.
He is distinguished by his green jumpsuit with a white t-shirt underneath and brown shoes.
Etymology[]
- The name Youhei means "light, sun, male" (陽) (you) and "flat, broad, level, even, peaceful" (平) (hei).
- Youhei's surname Mashiba means "real, genuine" (真) (ma) and "brush, firewood" (柴) (shiba).
Trivia[]
- Kozue Takanashi frequently asks Youhei to marry her.
- It is implied that they are sleeping together by the end of the series.
- Yuichi Nakamura also voices Daisuke Higashida for WWW.Working!!.
- Youhei does not get along with Mitsuki Mashiba.
