Shizuka Takanashi (小鳥遊 静 Takanashi Shizuka) is the mother of the Takanashi siblings who is a politician that is hardly home. Also she is the boss of Toru Minegishi and Kikuno Yamada where she appears to be involved in some highly sensitive business, given the tasks her assistants have to perform.
Appearance[]
Shizuka is a beautiful woman who looks a lot like Izumi Takanashi (back when she was young) with wavy knee-length black hair that has bangs covering the left side of her face, brown eyes and red lipstick.
Personality[]
Shizuka is a manipulative and extremely headstrong woman who has a strong hate of lying, which is due to her position as a politician being surrounded by lies, but began when the Takanashi's father lied about not liking small things (similar to Souta Takanashi's obsession) when she asked him out. She grew taller through sheer willpower because of this, and learnt later it was a lie.
Etymology[]
- The name Shizuka means "quiet" (静).
- Shizuka's surname Takanashi means "little bird, small bird" (小鳥) (taka) and "play" (遊) (nashi).
Trivia[]
- The finale reveals that Shizuka used to be a nice and completely harmless girl when she was little.
- She was also even shorter than Popura Taneshima when she first met her future husband, but she used pure willpower to grow taller.
- Other than Nazuna Takanashi, the other Takanashi siblings hate meeting Shizuka, although they all have different reasons.
- Despite her looks, she's actually 53 yrs. old.
- She is a widow as her husband died 10 yrs. prior to the start of the story.
